The ReSiELP Project is funded by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and is supported by the Knowledge and Innovation Communities Raw Materials (KIC RM) in the category: Recycling and material chain optimization for End-of-Life products.

The large amount of End-of-Life (EoL) Si-based PV modules forecasted requires immediate implementation of a circular value-chain to ensure a secure supply of raw material (including critical ones) and to limit unnecessary waste.

In this objective, ReSiELP brings together innovatives technologies from different fields to recover and purify critical and precious raw materials (Si, Ag) that are constituents of EoL Si-based PV modules as well as by-product materials (glass, Al, Cu) in an environmentally friendly and circular economy process with a product-centric zero-waste approach.

The ReSiELP project will develop:
       1. the synergy between two patents,
       2. the value-chain co-operation between industrial partners to reach TRL 7 from TRL 5.
